Dear John:
We are very grateful for DEC's gift of a KL-10 processor,
and to you personally and the others who arranged it, and we would
like to express it in a suitable way. Our idea is to have
a ceremonial unveiling after the machine is working in our system. The middle
of May seems like a good time to us. Would you and/or
someone else from DEC like to come? It will also
be the tenth anniversary of our PDP-6.
The PDP-10 has played an important role in computer science
laboratories, and I am thinking about having three talks related
to the subject, one from you or other DEC representative, one
from me, and one from somewhere else in the ARPA community.
I welcome your reaction.
